1. Voluntary Participation & Medical Disclaimer
Tai Chi and Qigong are gentle mind-body movement practices. However, participation is entirely voluntary. The instruction, videos, audio guides, and somatic coaching provided by Old Pueblo Tai Chi are educational and wellness-focused, and do not constitute formal medical diagnosis, physical therapy treatment, or psychotherapy.
Physician Consultation: If you have acute medical conditions, recent surgery, cardiovascular illness, or severe balance disorders, we recommend consulting your personal physician prior to beginning new physical movement.
2. The 70% Comfort Rule
All students agree to follow the 70% Comfort Rule during class and personal practice: never stretch, reach, or bend past 70% of your comfortable limit. Moving with ease supports comfortable practice and avoids joint strain. Seated chair options and resting pauses are always available.
3. Passes, Renewals & Cancellations
Drop-In Passes: Single Drop-In passes ($12) and multi-class packs do not expire and may be used for any future Monday or Wednesday morning class.
Monthly Passes: Unlimited Monthly Passes ($40) cover one month (same date to same date) of unlimited Monday and Wednesday classes starting on the date of your first attended class. Online monthly subscriptions renew automatically on the same date each month. Passes purchased with cash at the door are renewed in person.
Cancellation: You can cancel your online subscription anytime with 1 click in your member portal or by emailing Dan. Cancellation stops all future renewals immediately, and your access remains active through the end of your current monthly paid period. There are no cancellation fees or long-term commitments.
Studio Closures & Rescheduling: If a scheduled class is cancelled due to a holiday or studio closure, drop-in credits are preserved and monthly pass holders may request a pass window extension.
4. Studio Community Guidelines
Culture Connects Studio is dedicated to a welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere. We respect all levels of physical ability and ask all practitioners to practice mindfulness, quiet presence, and supportive encouragement.
5. Contact & Support
For questions regarding passes, scheduling, or billing, please contact instructor Dan Kimball at dan@oldpueblotaichi.com or in person before or after class at Culture Connects Studio (3000 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85713).
